Industrial Production Increases 11.9 Percent

ANKARA - Industrial production increased 11.9 percent in July 2003 when compared with July 2002.
A statement of State Institute of Statistics (SIS) said that industrial production increased 11.9 percent in July of 2003 over to the same month of the previous year from the result of monthly industrial production index.
SIS declared that manufacturing industry production increased by 12.8 percent, mining industry production increased by 4.7 percent, electricity, gas and water production increased by 6.4 percent in July of 2003 over to the same period of the previous year.
The statement released by SIS, total industrial production increased by 8.2 percent, and mining industry decreased by 11.8 percent, manufacturing industry increased by 9.2 percent, and electricity, gas and water industry increased by 7.5 percent in seven months of 2003 over to the same period of the previous year.
