Turkish Parliament Speaker Bülent Arınç departed for Copenhagen on Thursday to attend the EU Parliament Speakers conference scheduled for 30 June.
On the sidelines of the gathering, Arınç held bilateral meetings with parliament speakers and senate presidents from several countries, and also met with members of Türkiye's community in Copenhagen. Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Akat hosted a dinner in his honor on 29 June.
During the conference, Arınç addressed delegates and met separately with Italian Senate President Franco Marini and Austrian Parliament Speaker Andreas Khol. He attended a luncheon hosted by Danish Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik for the visiting speakers, as well as a dinner given by Danish Parliament Speaker Christian Mejdahl.
Arınç took part in the second day of sessions on 1 July. On 2 July he held a press briefing for Turkish journalists before departing Denmark the same day.
