ANKARA - Public prosecutor has appealed the verdict of Ankara Criminal Court on acquittance of Fethullah Gulen.
Sources said on Saturday that public prosecutor Salim Demirci presented the appeal to the Supreme Court of Appeals.
Ankara State Security Court (DGM) chief prosecutor's office had filed a lawsuit against Gulen in 2000 on charges that ''he set up an illegal organization to replace the secular state with a state based on religious rules''. The Ankara Criminal Court decided to acquit Fethullah Gulen on May 5th, 2006.
