ANTALYA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan held telephone conversations with British Prime Minister Tony Blair and President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad of Iran on Friday.
Prime Minister Blair thanked Prime Minister Erdogan for his support to the EU in its efforts to overcome problems stemming from Iran's nuclear program.
In response, Prime Minister Erdogan said that Turkey would continue to do everything in its power, and Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul would convey his message to President Ahmadi-Nejad on June 25th.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Erdogan told President Ahmadi-Nejad that the problems should be resolved through diplomatic ways.
Noting that Gul would convey his message to him on June 25th, Prime Minister Erdogan said that if they planned to hold a meeting in a third country, Turkey would be ready to extend all kinds of supports.
President Ahmadi-Nejad thanked Prime Minister Erdogan for his efforts, adding that he would be pleased with receiving Gul.
