ALONE AT RESTAURANT
Greek Cypriot administration's ambassador in Moscow Leonidas Pantelides who went to OIC (Organization of the Islamic Conference) meeting in Baku for lobbying against Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) spent the night at bars and restaurants when Azerbaijani administration did not grant him accreditation.
RADIOLOGICAL DANGER CLOSES BEACH
Turkish Board of Atomic Energy (TAEK) stated that Geyikli-Hantepe beach in Ezine town of northwestern city of Canakkale is radiologically dangerous. TAEK warned citizens not to enter that area.

HERE'S THAT REPORT
Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK), in its report, shows Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's advisor Cuneyd Zapsu's connection with Yasin al Qadi who is declared as global terrorist because he supported Al Qaida. MASAK stated that Zapsu gave 60,000 USD in 1997 to Muwafaq Foundation (owned by Qadi), and also Zapsu's mother, Gaye Zapsu, gave 250,000 USD to the foundation in 1999.
ISTANBUL BAR: SEMDINLI DECISION TAKEN IN HASTE
Istanbul Bar Chairman Kazim Kolcuoglu said regarding Semdinli case, ''the hearing of the case was not a proper one in terms of procedure. There was no need for such a rush. Taking a decision while the suspect was absent limits his right of defense.''

CAPITULATION IS BACK!
Capitulations revived after 654 years. Tax for Turkish investors dropped to 10 percent while the same tax for foreigners was reduced to zero. Finance Ministry decided to solve fluctuations in markets by providing tax incentive for foreign investors. Rate of stoppage which was 15 percent to all investors was dropped to 10 percent for Turks and zero for foreigners.
BOTH MINISTER AND ANTALYA ARE SLEEPING
Beaches are empty in (southern city) Antalya like in Bodrum... Hotel check-in rates were 75 percent in June, 2005, but this year it dropped to 60 percent. While Antalya is giving alarm, Tourism Minister Atilla Koc slept in the parliament again.

INTERVENTION SIGNAL FROM LONDON
USD dropped to 1.62 YTL in the morning when the government announced that stoppage will be zero for foreign investors. However it rose to 1.70 YTL in the afternoon. Central Bank Governor Durmus Yilmaz who learned about the situation while he was in London said that they will intervene if rise in value of USD against YTL continues.
PKK'S PLAN TO ENTER PARLIAMENT
PKK terrorist organization's political leader Zubeyir Aydar and his friends will return to Turkey and announce their candidacy in general elections. Even if they are imprisoned, they will be released after they are elected MPs.

ZAPSU-AL QADI RELATION AT PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan said that investigation is underway regarding the claims about the connection between Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's advisor Cuneyd Zapsu and Yasin al Qadi (who finances terrorism). Unakitan added that the related report of Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) was sent to Prosecutor's Office.
UNEASINESS OVER RECOGNITION OF GREEK CYPRIOTS
National Security Council (MGK) members discussed national security, relations with EU and Palestine issue in its meeting. They affirmed that EU accession process will be carried out in a determined manner and in line with national interests. Also they discussed whether membership to European Airspace will mean recognition of Greek Cypriot administration or not.

ZERO TAX NOT ENOUGH
Rate of stoppage for foreign investors became zero but value of USD against YTL rose again. Stock exchange index reached 34,228 points.
MGK DETERMINATION IN EU PROCESS
National Security Council (MGK) members affirmed that EU accession process will be carried out in a determined manner and in line with national interests.

U.S.-ANKARA COOPERATION NECESSARY
Council on Foreign Relations-CFR, in its Turkey report submitted to White House, stressed that Turkey and the United States should cooperate in every area. The report noted that relations were deteriorated seriously due to Iraq war, and suggested a series of proposals to recover relations.
EU IN TRNC
European Commission which decided to lift isolation of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will take the first serious step on July 1st. An ''EU Office'' will be opened in Lefkosa regarding 139 million Euro of assistance that EU will give to TRNC.

CETIN: NATO IN AFGHANISTAN FOR 15 MORE YEARS
Hikmet Cetin, NATO's senior representative to Afghanistan, will return to Turkey in August. He said that NATO started its mission in Afghanistan in 2003, and it will remain there for at least 15 years. Cetin said, ''NATO tests itself in Afghanistan in fight against terrorism.''

RACIST DEPUTY WAS TOUCHED
Bulgarian Parliament lifted political immunity of racist Ataka Party deputy Siderov who provoked Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc's news conference during his visit to that country. Siderov, by attending Arinc's meeting under journalist identity, caused tension.
EU NOW PUNISHED FOR ITS MISTAKE
President Mehmet Ali Talat of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) said that the EU has started to see the real face of Greek Cypriots each day. He noted, ''Greek Cypriot administration's veto threat against Turkey was a surprise for EU members but we already knew it.''
