ANKARA - The Conciliatory Board, which intervened in the collective bargaining talks between the government and civil servant unions as no compromise was reached, can announce on Friday its decision on increase which would be made in salaries of civil servants in 2004, sources said on Thursday.
Conciliatory Board listened to views of experts under the chairmanship of Finance Ministry Budget and Financial Control Deputy Director General Arif Kapanoglu again in today's meeting.
Sources said that the Board could announce its decision on increase which would be made in salaries of civil servants in 2004 following the meeting on Friday.
After the Board announces its decision and presents it as a report to the government, State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin will assess the report with administrators of Turkish Public Workers Trade Union (Kamu-Sen) and Confederation of Public Workers Trade Unions (KESK).
