ANKARA - World Bank approved the second tranche of Programmatic Financial & Public Sector Adjustment Loan III (PFPSAL III) worth of 500 million USD for Turkey.
Turkish Treasury Undersecretariat stated on Thursday that WB provided 1 billion USD of PFPSAL for Turkey in 2004, reminding that first tranche (worth of 500 million USD) was released in July 2004, and the rest of the loan is released today.
Within the scope of PFPSAL III, a sustainable macroeconomic stability and achievement of fundamental macroeconomic targets are envisioned. The loan also aims to support comprehensive reforms in public and finance sectors.
Also reform activities in agriculture sector are supported within the scope of the loan.
