ANKARA - Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus was welcomed with full military honors at the Presidential Palace in Ankara on Tuesday.
Lithuanian President is currently paying a formal visit to Turkey as the guest of Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer.
Early in the day, Adamkus visited Anitkabir, the Mausoleum Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Founder of the modern Republic of Turkey.
The two leaders will make a joint statement to the press after they hold a tete-a-tete meeting and co-chair talks between the delegations of the two countries.
The guest President will attend Turkish Business Forum in Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and later meet Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc and State Minister Ali Babacan.
