LEFKOSA - Local institution organs elections as well as interim elections of parliamentarians will be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on June 25th.
Turkish Cypriots will elect two parliamentarians for vacant seats in parliament as well as 28 mayors, 234 members of municipality assemblies, 150 village chiefs and 580 aldermen in the elections.
Two seats have been vacant in TRNC parliament since Republican Turkish Party deputy Mehmet Ali Talat was elected the President and National Unity Party deputy Salih Miroglu died last year.
The number of voters is 151,389.
On the other hand, TRNC President Talat will leave for western Turkish city of Izmir on Wednesday as the guest of Aegean Chamber of Industry. Talat will return to TRNC on Thursday.
