ANKARA - A group of members of the Confederation of Unions of Civil Servants (MEMUR-SEN) held a demonstration in front of the Israeli Embassy in Ankara on Tuesday to protest Israel's actions against Palestine.
Speaking on behalf of the group, MEMUR-SEN Secretary-General Ali Kucukkosen defended, ''Palestinian people have been subject to a tragedy and brutality for a long time. Today, Israel commits a state terrorism and genocide against Palestinian people by violating the international law and human rights.''
''Israeli soldiers have killed more than 100 Palestinian people including 20 children since the beginning of the year. We think that an international initiative should be launched to try Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at an international court as a war criminal,'' he claimed.
Kucukkosen said that they would boycott Israeli products, and called on the Turkish government to review its relations with Israel.
