VAN - Van High Criminal court sentenced two non-commissioned officers to 39 years 5 months and 10 days of imprisonment over the incidents happened in Semdinli town of southeastern city of Hakkari.
The court convicted officers Ali Kaya and Ozcan Ildeniz on charges of homicide, forming an armed gang and attempted murder.
On November 9th, 2005, a hand grenade was hurled into a bookstore, that belongs to Seferi Yilmaz, in Semdinli, killing a person. The Semdinli attack set off days of rioting that left four dead.
