ISTANBUL - Dutch Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Economic Affairs Laurens Jan Brinkhorst has indicated that Turkey would be a full member of the European Union.
Delivering a speech at a panel discussion ``Turkey-EU Relations: Towards Membership`` in Bahcesehir University in Istanbul on Monday, Brinkhorst stressed that Turkey was a very powerful country in respect to economy.
In regard to Cyprus issue, Brinkhorst underlined that several countries considered that Turkey assumed a positive attitude regarding Cyprus issue.
Stating that the uncertainty between Turkey and the EU that has existed for 40 years should be ended, Brinkhorst noted that Turkey`s membership would contribute to stability in the EU.
