Chair of Modern Turkish Researches was established at British London School of Economics (LSE) which is the best university of Europe as well as second best university of the world in social, political and economic areas. Turkish chair will work together with Greek chair.
FIRST WALLS OF ISTANBUL
A part of the lost walls of Istanbul built by Roman Emperor Constantine (who founded Istanbul) was unearthed by archaeologist Metin Gokcay in Yenikapi district.

DELAY OVERSHADOWS QUALITY CERTIFICATE
Delays and cancellations continued yesterday at Turkish Airlines (THY) due to lack of crew members. Flights were delayed for 1-1,5 hours and also 7 flights were cancelled. However, THY received ISO 9001: 2000 Quality System Certificate yesterday.
U.S. CONTROL AGAINST GREEK CYPRIOT CAPRICE
Washington was distressed with the tension in Turkey-EU relations due to Cyprus problem. Daniel Fried, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, conveyed a message during Luxembourg summit that Greek Cypriots should act flexibly, and Turkey should not get out of the EU path because it causes a problem.

Misery of people who want to go on a holiday continues. 14 flights of Turkish Airlines (THY) were cancelled and 46 flights were postponed yesterday due to lack of flight attendants.

Diplomatic sources said that entry talks between Turkey and EU can be suspended if mutual harsh statements continue. On the other hand, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan who pursues his statements regarding Cyprus issue said, ''we kept our promises but some did not. As long as they do not keep their promises, they can not expect anything from us.''

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statement as ''no concessions from Cyprus issue'' were reflected to western world. Guardian newspaper wrote: Erdogan acted harshly for the first time. Financial Times wrote that Ankara stated its final opinion.
TICK BITE SPREADS
Six more people were included in the list of people who were diagnosed with Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) which is caused by tick bite.
