ISTANBUL - French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade Christine Lagarde has indicated that the integration process with the EU that began in Turkey in October 2005 would continue, noting that she hoped that Turkey would maintain its integration process with great determination.
Lagarde stressed that French companies provided jobs for 45,000 people in Turkey, stating that the two countries could boost their commercial relations.
On the other hand, Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said that economic relations between the two countries would further improve, underlining that Turkey and France should exert efforts to increase trade volume to 15 billion USD in the coming three years.
