KARABURUN - Turkish gendarmery arrested 57 illegal migrants in Karaburun town of Aegean city of Izmir and Didim town of Aegean city of Aydin, sources said on Thursday.
Gendarmery stopped a car and a truck in Karaburun and arrested 25 Mauritanians, 15 Iraqis, 5 Palestinians, one Iranian and one Afghan, who were planning to proceed to Greece illegally.
Separately, the gendarmery arrested 10 Mauritanians in Didim town who were trying to pass the border illegally.
Illegal migrants will be deported after legal procedures.
