ANKARA - Turkish Central Bank announced on Thursday that its foreign currency reserves dropped by 33 million USD to 59.015 billion USD between June 2nd and 9th, 2006.
Releasing a weekly press bulletin, the Central Bank indicated that Turkey's ''international reserves'' ROSE by 4.2 billion to 83.7 billion USD as of May 26th. Of that, 21.9 billion USD was from privately-owned institutions, including commercial banks while the Central Bank held the rest.
Meanwhile, Turkey repaid 400.5 million USD in foreign debt between June 1st and 14th.
