ANKARA - State Statistics Institute (DIE) announced on Wednesday that the wholesale prices decreased by 0.2 percent and that the consumer prices increased by 0.2 percent in August, 2003.
The annual inflation as of August has been 22.7 percent in wholesale prices and 24.9 percent in consumer prices.
The inflation rate in the eight months of the year has been 10.7 percent in wholesale prices and 11.7 percent in consumer prices.
Meanwhile, according to 12-month averages as of August 2003, annual inflation rate was 32.1 percent in wholesale prices and 29.5 percent in consumer prices.
Price increase in the private sector of manufacturing industry which is called core inflation rate became 0.7 percent in August.
