Anadolu Agency Opens Atatürk Photo Exhibition in Amasya

The Anadolu Agency (AA) opened a photography exhibition in the northern city of Amasya on Tuesday to mark the 125th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's birth.

The display gathers several photographs of Atatürk that have not previously been published or exhibited. The AA assembled the collection to give visitors a direct view of the founder of the modern Turkish state, with images showing him in close relation to the people he led throughout his life.

AA President and Executive Board Chair Dr. Hilmi Bengi spoke at the opening ceremony. He said the photographs capture "a leader who embraced his people" and predicted that foreign tourists visiting Amasya would show strong interest in the display.

The exhibition runs through 18 June and is open to the public.
