ANKARA - Gulf Co-Operation Council Secretary General Abdul-Rahman Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah will pay a 2-day formal visit to Turkey, Turkish MFA said on Tuesday.
According to the MFA, Al-Attiyah's visit will take place upon invitation of Turkish FM & Deputy PM Abdullah Gul. Al-Attiyah is also scheduled to meet Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan and State Minister Kursad Tuzmen.
MFA statement said there has been a significant boom in Turkey's relations with the Gulf Co-Operation Council recently. Saudi Arabia, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait are the members of the Gulf Co-Operation Council.
Regional and international developments are expected to be discussed during al-Attiyah's visit.
