AH- U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz and Chief of General Staff Richard Myers joined in the reception held by Attaché of Turkish Armed Forces in Washington because of the August 30 Victory Day.
Asked if they wanted to cooperate with Turkey in Iraq, Myers said that they definitely wanted to do it with Turkish army, while Wolfowitz said that Turkey shared the same ideas with U.S. on the success of Iraq.
Stressing that there was a strategic cooperation between Turkey and U.S. for years, Myers said that he was thinking that the future of the relations between Turkey and U.S. would be so good.
