LUXEMBOURG - The EU General Affairs & Foreign Relations Council has succeeded in overcoming the Greek Cypriot obstacle in front of the opening of actual accession talks with Turkey.
Sources told the A.A on Monday that the latest proposal submitted by the current EU president Austria was accepted by the Greek Cypriot administration.
Later, EU foreign ministers ratified the common position paper.
The paper was sent to Turkish authorities.
Meanwhile, details of the latest proposal submitted by Austria to the Greek Cypriot administration have not become clear yet.
