LEFKOSA - TRNC Prime Minister Dervis Eroglu said on Thursday that it was not easy to govern in TRNC.
Speaking during his visit to Kamu-Is trade union, Prime Minister Eroglu said that there should be no intervention from outside to elections in democratic countries. Eroglu said that yet European Union wanted the government in TRNC to be replaced by another one.
Eroglu stressed that people had to vote by considering what would happen if the state and the flag in TRNC came to an end.
Noting that if TRNC was to be recognized, an agreement that would be reached would be lasting, Eroglu said that if that was not the case, Turkish Cypriots would not live in those territories safely. Eroglu stressed that they were against an agreement which would drift the people into darkness.
Eroglu said that Turkish Cypriots could not live with Annan plan when the number of Greek Cypriots who would come to the north under the plan was taken into consideration.
Eroglu remarked that Greek Cypriots entered TRNC by showing passports, stressing that TRNC fact should also be accepted. Eroglu said that Turkish Cypriots who went to the Greek Cypriot side could not see their old houses, adding ''peoples of both sides pass from one side to another peacefully today, but if 150,000 Turks leave their homes within 15 years, peace will end on the island.''
Eroglu stressed that nobody talked about who would build the dwellings in which Turkish Cypriots who would migrate would move if an agreement was reached.
Eroglu stated that if everybody accepted the state reality in TRNC, the world would listen more to Turkish Cypriots, adding no country other than Turkey helped TRNC.
