IZMIR - Trade and Industry Chamber of Bashkortostan Autonomous Republic and Izmir Trade Chamber (IZTO) signed on Thursday ''sister chamber'' agreement.
IZTO Executive Board Chairman Ekrem Demirtas delivered a speech in signing ceremony and said that Bashkortostan took place among developed regions of Russia in industrial aspect.
Noting that Turkish businessmen should evaluate the potential of this country, Demirtas said that IZTO would be the door of Bashkortostan opening to the region. He added that they would pay a visit with businessmen to Ufa, the capital city of Bashkortostan, in November within the agreement.
Deputy Prime Minister and Industry Minister Sergei Yefremov of Bashkortostan said that the foreign trade volume, which was 42 million U.S. dollars between two countries, could increase to one billion U.S. dollars.
