ALMATY - Transportation ministers of the developing countries that do not have outlet to the sea, came together in an international conference of the United Nations in Kazakhstan on Thursday.
Ministry of Transportation Foreign Relations Department Chairman Metin Kati, Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim's advisor Baris Tozar and Turkish Ambassador to Kazakhstan Mehmet Cinar Aldemir represent Turkey at the two-day conference.
United Nations officials and representatives of 79 countries and international organizations are in attendance at the conference.
In accordance with the decision taken by the United Nations General Assembly last year, Almaty Action Program will be put to vote during the conference.
The program includes policy to be followed in transit transportation, transportation infrastructure and proposals for further development of mutual trade and measures to be taken to this end.
