IZMIR - A group of businessmen from Plovdiv Trade and Industry Chamber of Bulgaria visited Izmir Trade Chamber (IZTO) on Thursday.
IZTO Executive Board Chairman Ekrem Demirtas said in the meeting prior to bilateral meetings that there was not any problem between Turkey and Bulgaria and there was a friendship milieu between two countries.
Demirtas said that nearly 110 Turkish firms were active in Bulgaria, but if it was considered that the number of Turkish firms in Romania was four thousand, this figure was very low. He added that Turkey ranked the fifth among the investor countries in the last decade. He said that Turkey should fulfill potential investments in the issues of food, infrastructure, tourism and energy.
Plovdiv Trade and Industry Chamber Chairman Dobrina Prodanova said that they aimed to increase trade volume between two countries to three billion U.S. dollars.
Prodanova said that such meetings should be repeated to reach this figure.
