But we consider it a tip-off, and carry out the necessary investigation. Both experts and the security officials told us that replacement of the Spoonmaker's Diamond with a fake one was impossible.''

PRESIDENT TALAT OF TRNC IN GERMANY
President Mehmet Ali Talat of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) met German FM Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin. Following the meeting, President Talat said, ''it was a quite fruitful meeting. I told Mr. Steinmeier that Turkish Cypriots were after a settlement, peace and re-unification of Cyprus.''

ANKARA ACTS WITH DELIBERATION
Ankara acted with deliberation about the Greek Cypriot administration's preventive attitude. The EU could not reach a consensus on the joint attitude document because of the Greek Cypriot administration's approach. Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials said, ''they are trying to escalate tension even on such simple issues. However, we think that they will have to give up their insistence since they could not get enough support within the EU.''
TALAT GIVES DIRECT MESSAGES IN GERMANY
President Mehmet Ali Talat of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) met German FM Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin. Following the meeting, President Talat said, ''for the first time, we had the opportunity to explain our position to German authorities directly.''

Greek Foreign Minister Theodora Bakoyianni arrived in Istanbul yesterday to attend the 4th Turkish-Greek Media Conference. She is scheduled to meet Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul today. They will sign an agreement about establishment of a red line between military air bases.

U.S. STATEMENT CAUSES UNEASINESS IN TURKEY
Daniel Fried, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, said that his country would not recognize the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). His statement caused uneasiness in Turkey.
INTERESTING DECISION
Fethullah Gulen was acquitted in his retrial. The court delegation ruled that there was not any evidence proving that Gulen was aiming to change the constitutional order in Turkey.

SECURITY FORCES IMPOUND 46.7 KG OF HEROIN IN SANLIURFA AND EDIRNE
Security forces impounded 46.7 kg of heroin in two separate operations in the southeastern city of Sanliurfa and the northwestern city of Edirne. A total of four people were detained in the operations.
