CIZRE - Cizre Court on Friday sentenced Aydin Budak, the Mayor of Cizre town of southeastern city of Sirnak, to one year 3 months imprisonment terms on charges that he praised the ''illegal terrorist organization, its activities and leader'' through media.
Budak's lawyer Servet Yanar told A.A correspondent that they would object the decision.
A file was brought against Budak on charges that he praised the illegal terrorist organization, its activities and leader'' in a speech he delivered on January 14th, 2006 in Cizre.
