Diyarbakir To Host Training Seminar For Local Administrations In E.U. Process

DIYARBAKIR - Southeastern province of Diyarbakir will host ''Training Seminar for Local Administrations in the European Union (EU) Process'' between September 4 and 5, 2003.
Releasing a statement, Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) Municipalities Association said on Thursday, ''under the project of 'Local Administrations in the EU Process' with the World Academy of Local Administrations and Democracy (WALD) Foundation, we have formed a 'Local Office' in Diyarbakir. We will organize training seminars to inform local officials on the issues regarded with the EU in detail.''
''During the seminar on 'Local Administrations in the EU Process', Dr. Can Baydarol, an expert on the EU, and Emre Gonen from the Bilgi University will give information to local officials on the EU,'' the statement added.
