ANKARA - German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier and EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana called Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul and gave him information about the talks held in Tehran pertaining to Iran's nuclear activities.
Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement and said Solana traveled to Tehran on Tuesday together with political directors of Britain, France, Germany, and Russian Federation to present the new incentive package to Iran.
The statement indicated that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Kisylak, who was in the delegation of Solana, stopped by Ankara and held talks in the ministry regarding the recent developments on Iran's nuclear program.
Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul met Kisylak in Ankara today.
