ISTANBUL - ''Greek Cypriot Administration is not willing to compromise (with us),'' Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Deputy PM & FM Serdar Denktas said on Thursday.
Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan received Serdar Denktas in his office in Istanbul.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Denktas said blockade on TRNC was one of the topics they discussed. ''The most important thing is that Greek Cypriot party is not willing to make compromise. This should be understood well.''
Replying to a question, Denktas said, ''there are 5 fugitives from the TRNC (i.e. convicts who fled to Greek Cyprus after escaping from a prison in TRNC). They were caught in Greek Cyprus. We asked for their extradition but they (Greek Cypriot authorities) don't extradite them.''
