BRUSSELS - Introductory screening meeting on consumer and health protection (within the scope of Turkey`s full membership negotiations with the EU) has begun in Brussels, Belgium on Thursday.
Product safety, imitation products, provisions of agreements signed with consumers, certificate of warranty for consumption of goods, price tags on products, doorstep selling, consumer credits, misleading advertising, time-share selling, package tours, public health, production of tobacco and cigarette, contagious diseases, organ transplantation and mental health will be discussed during the meeting which will last two days.
On the other hand, detailed screening meeting on the same chapter will be held on July 6th and 7th, 2006.
Introductory screening meetings on 21 chapters and detailed screening meetings on 18 chapters have been completed so far.
