JERUSALEM - Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer has indicated that Turkey always supported Middle East peace process during a dinner hosted by Israeli President Moshe Katsav in his honor in Jerusalem on Wednesday.
Sezer noted that he believed that establishment of permanent peace through mutual talks would improve political, economic and strategic climate in the Middle East.
President Sezer underlined that Turkey would continue its constructive contributions on the basis of 'road map'.
On the other hand, Katsav stated that his country was struggling to prevent terrorism.
Noting that Israel committed its support for foundation of an independent Palestine, Katsav said that but the newly-formed Palestinian government denied recognition of Israel's right to live.
