ANKARA - Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc received Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora in the parliament on Wednesday.
Arinc stressed that Turkey and Lebanon were the two friendly countries which had deep-rooted relations, stating that Siniora's visit would boost relations between the two countries.
Recalling that Turkish members of Turkey-Lebanon parliamentary friendship group had earlier paid a visit to Lebanon, Arinc indicated that he hoped that also Lebanese parliamentary delegation would visit Turkey.
Lebanese PM noted that he had fruitful meetings with both Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister & Deputy PM Abdullah Gul, stressing that Lebanon and Turkey had consensus over bilateral and regional issues.
Siniora added that his country wanted to boost political, economic and cultural relations with Turkey.
