KUSADASI - 22 illegal migrants who were rescued from the sea yesterday by a Bahamian cruise ship --''Noordam'', off Kusadasi town, are still waiting at Kusadasi Port, sources said on Wednesday.
A six-year-old child drowned when a boat carrying 23 illegal migrants capsized off Kusadasi yesterday, and the Bahamian cruise ship ''Noordam'' sighted and rescued others after their boat sank in the Greek territorial waters.
The ship took the migrants to Kusadasi Port, but they were not allowed the get off the ship since their boat did not sink in the Turkish territorial waters.
''Noordam'' will depart at 8.30 p.m. tonight if Turkish officials allow illegal migrants to get off the ship.
