ANKARA - State Planning Organization (DPT) Undersecretary Ahmet Tiktik said on Wednesday that as long as public financial discipline continued, economic recovery would also speed up.
Responding to questions of A.A correspondent, DPT Undersecretary Tiktik said that no new additional economic package was in question.
Tiktik said that they expected the non-interest surplus to be reached at the end of the year, adding that they took the necessary measures for that.
When asked if the cancellation of the additional taxes next year would cause a problem in reaching the 2004 non-interest surplus, Tiktik said that they should work on that issue.
Tiktik said that a significant contribution from State Economic Enterprises (SEEs) which act in the field of energy, to the non-interest surplus was in question, adding that the amount of the contribution could reach 500-600 trillion liras.
This contribution could stem from the decrease in the expenses which SEEs made in their natural gas and oil purchases.
