ANKARA - Health Minister Recep Akdag received on Wednesday German Ambassador to Turkey Wolf Ruthart.
Akdag said during the meeting that Turkey and Germany had good relations for a long time.
Noting that many Turkish citizens lived in Germany, Akdag said that the studies would continue regarding the health services of these persons in Germany.
Born said in his part that 2.5 million Turks lived in Germany, adding that half million Turks were German citizens and annually 3.5 million Germans came to Turkey as tourists. Born said that these people had certain problems in social and health aspects, adding that the relations between the two countries had to be good due to that.
Born stated that the good relations between the two countries were also important in respect of Turkey's EU membership process.
Born noted that Prime Minister Erdogan would visit Germany between 1-3 September.
