Leaders Of Al Obeid Tribe To Come To Ankara

ANKARA - Turkey which is waiting for the report of Turkish delegation, currently in Iraq to have talks on sending soldiers to Iraq, continues its meetings with authorities of the region.
Sources said on Tuesday that leaders of al Obeid tribe, one of the leading tribes of Iraq, would come to Ankara on Wednesday.
The delegation which will have talks in the Foreign Ministry is expected to meet with Deputy Undersecretary Ali Tuygan.
Sources stated that studies on schedule of the visit of members of the Iraqi Tribes Council who were also expected to come to Ankara were continuing.
Another seven-member delegation from the interim government council in Iraq is also expected to visit Ankara in mid-September.
Sources said that Mahmoud Osman, who was thought that he had connection with terrorist PKK organization and who was also one of members of the interim government council in Iraq, was given a message that he should not attend the meeting which would be held in Ankara in a diplomatic way.
Turkey earlier told the United States that it had concerns over Mahmoud Osman's connection with terrorist PKK organization.
Songul Cabuk, who is a Turkmen member of the council in Iraq, will come to Turkey the following week, sources stated.
Cabuk is expected to meet with the U.S. President Bush after Cabuk proceeds from Turkey to the United States.
NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) General James Jones is also expected to come to Ankara on September 3.
The United States' Embassy in Ankara Counselor Robert Deutsch and officials from the Iraqi desk of the embassy had some meetings in the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday.
