NEW YORK - The father of Nick Berg, a US businessman beheaded by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in Iraq, said Thursday he drew little comfort from the death of his son`s murderer as long as the violence in Iraq continued.
"The death of Mr al-Zarqawi means a continuation of the violence and revenge that took the life of my son," Michael Berg said in a statement.
"This will mean an increase in violence and resistance to the occupation of Iraq by the US military," Berg said.
The headless body of Nick Berg, 26, who had gone to Iraq to look into business opportunities in the communications industry, was found in May 2004, and the video of his beheading appeared on an Al-Qaeda linked website a few days later.
