Six People Injured In Mine Explosion In Balikesir

BALIKESIR - Six people were injured in an explosion happened in a coal mine in Dursunbey town of northwestern province of Balikesir on Tuesday.
Officials said two of those people were injured seriously, and the explosion occurred due to gas compression in the coal mine.
Ahmet Uslu and Ibrahim Ethem Yavuz who were in critical condition were taken to Balikesir SSK Hospital while Ali Kaya, Yusuf Aydin, Ramazan Kocakulak and Ferit Babacan who were also injured in the explosion were taken to Dursunbey State Hospital.
An investigation is underway.
