ANKARA - Vice-President of Czech Senate Edvard Outrata held a series of talks in Ankara on Tuesday.
Outrata met Turkish Deputy Parliament Speaker Ismail Alptekin, Parliamentary Constitution Commission Chairman Burhan Kuzu, and members of the Turkish-Czech Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group.
During the meetings, Outrata extended his country's support to Turkey's EU membership process.
The parties agreed to further improve bilateral relations and develop joint projects in the areas of education, tourism and culture.
Trade volume between Turkey and Czech Republic reached 1 billion USD in 2005. Meanwhile, number of Czech tourists visiting Turkey increased 18 percent in the same period.
