GENEVA - Turkish Labor & Social Security Minister Murat Basesgioglu, who is currently in Geneva, Switzerland, for the 95th Conference of the International Labor Organization (ILO), separately met Labor & Social Welfare Minister Ibrahim Selmanaj of Kosovo and Social Affairs & Employment Minister Aart Jan De Geus of the Netherlands.
During his meeting with Basesgioglu, Selmanaj said that there were some problems in Kosovo, stating that unemployment rate was currently 42.5 percent in his country. He added that expert staff and information could be exchanged between labor ministries of Turkey and Kosovo. Basesgioglu indicated that Turkey would be glad to share its technical background with Kosovo.
Later on, Basesgioglu had a meeting with Dutch Social Affairs & Employment Minister De Geus. De Geus stated that the Agreement on Social Security signed between the two countries should be approved as soon as possible.
