ANKARA - Turkey fiercely struggles to combat human trafficking, according to 2005 ''Trafficking in Human Beings'' Report of the United States.
Releasing a statement Turkish MFA said, ''the report in which the year 2004 was assessed, indicated that Turkey has been involved in intensive efforts to combat human trafficking even if it has not met all minimum standards required to eliminate this kind of trafficking.''

-86 UNJUSTLY TREATED RESCUED-
The MFA statement said 86 unjustly treated people were rescued through '157' emergency hotline, adding that those people were taken under protection in sheltering houses in Istanbul and Ankara.
