GAZIANTEP - Iraq International Fair will be inaugurated in southeastern Turkish city of Gaziantep tomorrow (on June 7th).
The fair, which is jointly organized by Iraqi Ministry of Trade and Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GSO), Turkish Foreign Trade Undersecretariat and the Union of Turkish Chambers & Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), will be held between June 7th-11th 2006, in M1 Tepe GSO Fair and Congress Center (one of the biggest showrooms in Gaziantep, on a closed area of 25.000 sqm and an open area of 20.000 sqm).
Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, Industry & Trade Minister Ali Coskun, Public Works & Housing Minister Faruk Nafiz Ozak, Iraqi Trade Minister Abd al-Falah al-Sudani, Georgian Economics & Infrastructure Minister Irakli Chogovadze, Syrian Construction & Housing Minister Hamud al-Husayn and TOBB Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu will assist the inauguration of the fair.
Iraq International Fair is the first of its kind to be held outside the Iraqi territory.
Nearly 1000 firms from 35 countries, mainly from Europe, are expected to participate in this fair. Machinery, construction materials, automotive products, electric-electronic equipment, health equipment, foodstuff, consumer durables, textile and ready-to-wear clothing will be exhibited in the fair.
