KASTAMONU - Iraqi Turkmens, who attended Turkish World Days in Black Sea Kastamonu province, blamed Iraqi Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) leader Jalal Talabani for causing the events occurred in Kirkuk.
Istanbul based Iraqi Turks Culture and Solidarity Association Chairman Kemal Beyatli kept responsible Talabani from the incidents happened in Kirkuk.
Beyatli said, ''incidents are happening in Kirkuk and Irbil everyday. Talabani groups are attacking Turkmens with arms night and day. Our five thousand Turkmen brothers in Kirkuk marched to governor's office and showed their reaction. Kurdish groups could not digest this and opened fire on the group. This is not the first trick and attack of Talabani. It happened in the past and it is happening today again. Such events are happening every day after the overthrown of Saddam administration. Fire is opened on cars and money of Turkmens are seized. Talabani is responsible for these incidents.''
Noting that Turkish soldiers brought peace everywhere they went and provided permanent peace, Beyatli said that they wanted Turkish soldiers to come to Iraq rapidly and bring permanent peace to Iraq. He added that even Arabian tribes were waiting for Turkish soldiers.
Beyatli said that Talabani and Iraqi Kurdish Democratic Party (IKDP) leader Massoud Barzani did not also want Iraqi soldier because they could not do what they were doing now.
Emphasizing that Talabani groups had killed seven Turkmens three days ago and two Turkmens yesterday in Kirkuk, Beyatli said that he condemned this harshly.
