ANKARA - A group, who wanted to participate in public press release of Confederation of Public Workers Trade Unions (KESK) in Kizilay district, attacked police with stones on Saturday.
A group comprising of 30 people who were not KESK members and who were waiting in front of Zafer Shop closed the traffic in Ataturk Boulevard at 01.00 p.m.
The group attacked with stones security forces in Kizilay Square. Some injured policemen were taken to hospital.
The group escaped to Izmir Street and joined with a group of Socialist Revolution Party (SDP). When KESK members told police that they would warn the group to disperse, police did not intervene.
