AYDIN - A moderate earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale jolted the western Turkish city of Aydin on Monday.
Istanbul-based Kandilli Observatory & Seismology Institute announced that the epicenter of the earthquake was in Buharkent town of the city.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
The quake, which was also felt in surrounding towns and villages, sent residents out to the streets in panic.
Meanwhile, a 4.1-magnitude aftershock followed the first tremor 15 minutes later.
