ISTANBUL - Ibrahim Abdullah Al Shaye, an attache assigned in Saudi Arabia's Consulate General in Istanbul, drowned after he had gone to swimming in Sofular Village which is 10 km to Sile town of Istanbul, it was reported on Saturday.
Suleyman Muhamad al-Arani (29) and Muhammad Suleyman al-Gannes (15) were together with al-Shaye.
Al-Shaye and his two friends were overtaken by the waves.
Citizens pulled the three men from water, but Al-Shaye lost his life.
The local mayor, Can Tabakoglu, said the three men had been swimming in an area far from public beaches and with no lifeguards.
