KUTAHYA - Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said, ''actual talks with the EU will start in the meeting in Luxembourg on June 12th.''
Speaking at Justice & Development Party's (AKP) regular congress meeting in western city of Kutahya on Saturday, Gul said, ''many taboos have been broken in Turkey (on EU membership path). Turkey has changed both in economic and democratic aspects. Thus, entry talks with the EU had started on October 3rd, 2005. We will attend a meeting in Luxembourg on June 12th, and actual talks with the EU will start in that meeting. This date is a turning point in Turkey's relations with the EU.''
''We will continue to adopt reforms. We have sent the new reform package to Turkish Parliament. Nearly each day we adopt a new law. This process will continue,'' added Gul.
