ANKARA - ''Turkey's export rate has reached 76.4 billion USD in 2005,'' said Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen on his assessment of export figures of May, 2006, to A.A correspondent on Saturday.
Tuzmen noted, ''according to figures of Exporters' Association, Turkey exported products worth of 32.2 billion USD between January and May, 2006. This is a 10 percent increase when compared with the same period of 2005.''
''We will reach 80 billion USD of export amount which is the target of 2006,'' he added.
He informed about the distribution of Turkey's export to other countries in the first 5 months of 2006, and said, ''the export amount which was made to Germany, Italy, Britain, U.S., France, Spain, Russia and Iraq exceeded 1 billion USD. The highest increase in export was recorded to Italy, Spain, Russia and Bulgaria.''
