ANKARA - While the issue of sending soldiers to Iraq is on the agenda of Turkey, the latter tries to determine the approach of Iraqi people towards Turkish soldiers.
The leader of al-Obeid tribe of Iraq and members of Iraqi Tribes Council are expected to come to Ankara.
Meanwhile some members of the Interim Government Council in Iraq who were invited to Turkey, can come together with Turkish officials in Ankara.
Ankara does not regard the invitation of the interim government in Iraq as a precondition for sending soldiers to Iraq, yet such an invitation can have a facilitative effect on the decision of Turkey.
Meanwhile two separate delegations from the U.S. Congress will visit Turkey in the coming days and hold contacts in Istanbul. If the delegations don't have a change in their programmes, they are expected to hold contacts in Istanbul.
U.S. Senator John McCain will head the U.S. senate delegation which will hold contacts in Istanbul in the weekend, while Tom Davis will head the U.S. House of Representatives delegation which will come to Istanbul on August 28.
Meanwhile in addition to the Turkish deputies who went to Iraq the same day, a delegation headed by former Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Selim Karaosmanoglu and which is composed of Foreign Ministry, National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and General Staff officials, is also expected to go to Iraq soon.
